Fall 2019 - Aptos, California

Located in the foggy mountains of Aptos, this homeowner's former deck had struggled with moisture and rot issues. When planning your new deck, it’s important to ensure that its substructure can guarantee safety and lasting beauty through decades of outdoor conditions. Our recommendation to ensure a long lasting deck was to use the Trex Elevation steel frame system.

Summer 2018 - Santa Cruz 

Located on the Upper West Side, this Earth Home was not only looking for a new deck, but a few additional elements to complete the outdoor living space. One such element was the eye catching pergola, (sized and stained to match the cedar accent siding and accommodate the homeowners favorite backpacking hammocks!) as well as a custom bench with 110v outlets.

Fall 2017 - Santa Cruz Mountains

Located along the Loma Prietas mountain range, this Summit Estate boasts an impressive 3,000 sq ft outdoor living space complete with a kitchen area, built in Jacuzzi, custom built redwood pergola, over 50' of amphitheater seating, as well as a specially cantilevered octagon deck section (for when the band plays).

Materials selected for this build are as follows:

Decking: Trex Transcend Tiki Torch, trimmed in Trex Transcend Spiced Rum.

Railing: Redwood posts and rails, Wild Hog Railing's powder coated 4x4 panels, capped with Trex Transcend Spiced Rum, and a light stain to finish and protect the natural wood components.

Lighting: Perimeter railing and designated areas were furnished with Trex recessed decking lighting, while stairs and steps were given a riser light treatment.

Summer 2018 - Gilroy, CA

​Having struggled with extreme sun exposure in summers past; this homeowner envisioned a creative two story addition intended to double outdoor entertainment areas while at the same time providing a completely waterproof footprint below for furniture and outdoor appliances.

​Partnering strongly with engineers and architects, Decks by Decamp installed custom cedar glue laminate beams to accommodate for the large spans between columns. Custom truss' were flow in by crane and terracotta tiles installed to match the existing roof.

Shortly after, new electrical outlets, switches, lights, and ceiling fans were added.  Brushed aluminum soffit was hung in the ceilings and stucco continued into select areas to round edges and soften the overall look of the home.

​After a fresh coat of paint, a Trex Transcend railing system was installed. This customer chose to cap the railing with a (flat) cocktail rail top; perfect for potted plants or cold drinks on a summer day.
